James is a former management consultant whose reporting career has focused on business in Southern California. He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, conversationally fluent in Cantonese and has spent significant time living and working abroad. He received his M.S. in Journalism from the University of Southern California and B.A. in International Studies and Chinese Language from the University of Mississippi. James dabbles in photography and is a regular runner and hiker.
